Vision, Mission, and Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) Vision and Mission Statements: The Vision and Mission statements outline long-term aspirations and the core purpose of the institution. In this regard, the Vision defines the institution's desired future, while the Mission articulates the fundamental activities that must be undertaken to realize this vision. A technical university, for instance, would have a Vision such as "be a global leader in engineering education and research" with a Mission to "provide quality technical education and contribute to solving societal challenges."
